Yoga Classes at Starbelly School
Iyengar Yoga for All Levels In these classes Chad & Cecilia will teach Iyengar yoga asanas especially suited for belly dancers, but great for anyone. Tuesdays class we ill focus on Inverted poses and forward bends, in the Thursday class we will focus on Standing poses and Back Bends. Each class will end with a restorative pose. This class is suitable for anyone 13 years old and up that wants a safe and effective yoga practice. You will need to bring to class 1) a yoga mat, 2) a yoga block 3) yoga belt 4) two dense cotton blankets. (60 min. classes $40 monthly class/$12 drop in or $60 a month for both classes) . *Multi Class discounts do not apply for Yoga classes.
Cecilia and Chad have been practicing Iyengar Yoga for over 15 years. They are completing their 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training with the exceptional yoga therapist and mentor Camille Thom. Cecilia brings a 20+ year career as a professional belly dance artist, and her knowledge of anatomy health combined with the intensive training with a certified yoga therapist to offer a gentle, safe, and effective yoga practice. Chad’s 30 + years of training as an athlete and his intensive dance training informs his yoga practice with an emphasis on avoiding injuries by increasing strength and flexibility. Together they have designed a class that is both safe and challenging for all levels of dancers and athletes.
