 Boise Raks – Free Dance Events

Boise Raks is a joyful, interactive celebration of dance, music, and community—presented by Starbelly School of Dance and featuring the Starbelly Dancers. Each event includes a professional performance, an accessible mini dance class, and a community dance party designed to welcome all ages and abilities.

Join Boise Raks for a lively, interactive dance experience as part of Art & Roses! Located near the entrance to the Rose Garden at Julia Davis Park, this fun, all-ages event blends the energy and beauty of Raks Sharki and Middle Eastern dance with upbeat modern music and community participation. Enjoy an engaging performance, learn a few simple dance moves, and celebrate creativity, movement, and connection in one of Boise’s most beautiful outdoor settings. FREE and family-friendly!

1st Thursday Downtown Boise at Taj Mahal!

Join us upstairs on the balcony at Taj Mahal (8th & Main) for Boise Raks — a FREE, high-energy celebration of dance, music, and community!

This interactive experience blends the vibrant rhythms and expressive beauty of Raks Sharki (Middle Eastern dance) with today’s popular music for a fun, fresh, and welcoming atmosphere. Enjoy an exciting live performance, then stay for a beginner-friendly mini dance class where everyone can join in—no experience needed!

We’ll finish the evening with an open dance party full of movement, connection, laughter, and celebration under the downtown sky.
